Dr. Jayne Greenberg has served as Special Advisor on Youth Fitness to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports; President of FAHPERD; chaired the Sport Development Committee for the USOC, USA Field Hockey; and assisted the US Dept of Health and HHS in the development of the I Can Do It, You Can Do It Program, a national initiative to address physical activity for youth with disabilities.  Dr. Greenberg was named the 2005 National Physical Education Administrator of the Year by NASPE, received the 2005 Highest Recognition Award by the US Secretary of Health, Michael Leavitt, received the March 2009 Point of Light Award by Florida Governor Charlie Crist and was appointed the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness in 2009.  In 2011 Dr. Greenberg was appointed by President Obama to serve on the President’s Council for Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition and in 2012 Dr. Greenberg was selected to serve on an Institute of Medicine Committee.
