George Graham
Noted Author, Innovator of PE Central
Legacy Award Recipient
George Graham has spent over 40 years in the field of physical education, teaching at the elementary, junior high and college levels. Well-known for his writing and innovative projects, he has been the driver behind the American Master Teaching Program, PE Central, and numerous teacher effectiveness programs.
However, George's primary gift is that of "thinking big." He is a networker and connector, dreaming with like-minded individuals to make meaningful change in physical education. For example, he and his graduate students at Virginia Tech helped to co-author the first Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Physical Education and the creation of PE Central as mentioned previously. In 2014, George took the stage for his final physical education presentation before hanging up his sneakers. To see this keynote, please click
