Dr. Lauren Lieberman is a Distinguished Service Professor at The College at Brockport. She teaches Graduate and Undergraduate courses in Adapted Physical Education. She founded Camp Abilities an educational sports camp for children with visual impairments now replicated all over the world. She has won the" Professional of the Year Award" from The Adapted Physical Activity Council, the R. Tait McKenzie Award from SHAPE America, and The Access Award from the American Foundation of the Blind. She is on the editorial board of JOPERD, The Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly, and Palaestra Journal. She has completed 18 books including “Strategies for Inclusion (3rd edition)” (Human Kinetics), Physical Education for Children with Moderate or Severe Disabilities” (HK) “Paraeducators in Physical Education” (HK), “Assessment for Everyone” (SHAPE), “Physical Education and Sports for Individuals with Visual Impairments” (American Foundation for the Blind) “Essentials of Adapted Physical Education” (Routledge), and many others. She has presented keynote presentations in the US and many other countries.
